I bought QuickTime Pro 7 way back in 2006, and have used it over the years. I had to replace my Mac Pro with a newer version, and I reinstalled all my software on this computer. When I brought up QuickTime 7, the Pro features were not enabled. I went back into my email to enter the registration code that always worked for me in the past, but when I clicked on the 'Buy' button, I was directed to a server, quicktimepro.apple.com that does not exist any more. So how do I get this back and working?

2. I went to the Quicktime 7 menu, clicked on Registration, and entered into the registration window the exact same registration name and code that are in my email from years ago. I then clicked on the Buy button.
If you are upgrading your Mac in your home or office, you can use the same QuickTime Player 7 registration key on your new Mac that you purchased with your old one. Apple has not upgraded its pro edition past QuickTime Player 7, so even if your old computer ran Snow Leopard, the registration key is still good. All you need is the registration code you received from Apple when you first purchased the upgrade.
Locate your registration code in the confirmation email sent to you from Apple when you purchased the product. If you can't find it, go to the Apple Store (see Resources), click "Account" and then "View Order History." Enter your Apple ID and password and then navigate through your order history to find your QuickTime Player 7 purchase.
Enter your name in the "Registered To" field. Enter your company name in the "Organization" field. Type your 20-character registration code in the last field. Press the "Tab" key. The QuickTime Player logo changes to include the word "Pro" on the bottom, indicating that you have successfully registered the product.
QuickTime Player 7 is limited to only basic playback operations unless a QuickTime Pro license key is purchased from Apple. Until Catalina, Apple's professional applications (e.g. Final Cut Studio, Logic Studio) included a QuickTime Pro license. Pro keys are specific to the major version of QuickTime for which they are purchased and unlock additional features of the QuickTime Player application on macOS or Windows.[28] The Pro key does not require any additional downloads; entering the registration code immediately unlocks the hidden features.
QuickTime Player 7 supports older media formats, such as QTVR, interactive QuickTime movies, and MIDI files. It also accepts QuickTime 7 Pro registration codes, which turn on QuickTime Pro functions. This version of QuickTime Player is unsupported and is provided for compatibility with legacy media workflows on macOS Sierra and earlier.

Open your current version of QuickTime Player and navigate to "Preferences." Right-click the registration code field and select "Paste" so your code appears in the field provided. Click "OK" or "Register" to automatically update QuickTime Player to QuickTime Pro.
QuickTime 7 Pro is more professional than QuickTime 7. To upgrade QuickTime 7 Pro or install QuickTime 7 Pro on Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite, what you need is QuickTime 7 player installed in advance, and a QuickTime 7 Pro registration code.
